Robin's flannel rag quilts

Robin made two flannel "rag" quilts as baby gifts.  The blocks were cut using the Go! cutter and 8 1/2" rag die.  After sewing the blocks together, just throw the quilts in the washing machine and dryer to get the 'rag' affect.  What a great baby gift.

Robin's daughter and husband are holding her masterpieces.  Great job, Robin!  Keep up the good work!

(Cousin) Susan's Jelly Roll 1600 quilts

(Cousin) Susan was here in March for the Shop Hop. She went home with a loaner sewing machine, some quilting supplies and a LOT of scraps from the totes!  She's made four Jelly Roll 1600 quilts since then.  The first two pictures are two of the tops she made, the last two pictures are their backs.  I love the 'scrappy' look of the last picture.  I'm not sure if I like the front or their backs better!  Great job, Susan!

"Paint Box" prints by Laundry Basket Quilts

The UPS man was here today....look what was waiting for me when I got home this afternoon.  These are from the "Paint Box" collection by Laundry Basket Quilts for Moda.  The big prints remind me of spring.  I love the big flowers (Sweetness is cutting fat quarters of these as I'm typing!).  The background colors are blue, brown and cream. The big prints remind me of some Victorian fabric in my stash from several years ago.  Yummy!

Aurifil thread

The rack of Aurifil is full again!  I just love this thread.  The 50 weight Egyptian Cotton is great for sewing.  We have 15 colors of variegated and 17 solid colors.

Batik charm packs

I was able to take some pictures of the batik charm packs in the shop: "Paint Box Batiks" and "Enchanted Pond".  My camera wasn't working very well so....here goes:

"Beddy Bye" flannel stuff!

The flannel layer cakes and charm packs came in.

These are "Beddy Bye" from designer Ingrid Slyder for Moda.  They just scream "baby".  I used a layer cake to start a "Double Slice Layer Cake" baby quilt.  So cute.  So soft.  So.....baby!

Sandy's "Double Slice Layer Cake" quilt

Sandy strikes again!  This is the "Double Slice Layer Cake" quilt she made using "Enchanted Pond" layer cakes (by Holly Taylor for Moda)....complete with pillow shams!

Sandy's Four Jelly Roll "Jelly Roll 1600" quilt

I finally figured out how to get the pictures of Sandy's 4 jelly rolls worth of "Jelly Roll 1600" quilt to the blog.  This quilt was so big she had to whack off 20" from the bottom so, she made that into two king sized pillow shams.

king sized shams made from the "extra" of Sandy's mammoth Jelly Roll 1600 quilt!

Sandy had to modify the sides of her Jelly Roll 1600....using 4 jelly rolls will  do that!

Ginger's "Butterfly Garden" quilt

Ginger H. loaned us the "Butterfly Garden" quilt she made to hang in the shop. She used (mostly) Kansas Troubles fabrics.  The applique (the "A" word) is gorgeous.  Great job, Ginger.

Karen's Critters quilt

Karen C. brought in her 'critters' quilts.  Sherryl D. quilted it for her. I hope the quilting shows up in these pictures.

Miss Betty's "Double Slice Layer Cake" quilt

Remember Miss Betty?  She made a red purse using "Texture Magic".  I took a picture of it and posted it to the blog.  Well, last Saturday, Miss Betty and her friend Linda came for the "Double Slice Layer Cake" demo.  Betty and Linda had the misfortune of being here when I TRIED to do this technique the first time (I had to stop in the middle of everything, go to the house and watch the video again.....figure out what I was doing wrong and start again.........it was beyond embarrassing).  Anyway, Betty went home and made a "Double Slice Layer Cake" quilt without a layer cake.....or a computer.  She brought her quilt in last Saturday and we all fell in love with it.  So, here it is:  Miss Betty's Quilt:

Miss Betty didn't need a video (or layer cake) to make her quilt!

more pictures of "Pheasant Hill" by Kansas Troubles

I failed to notice the plastic wrap was still on some of the bolts in last week's pictures of the "Pheasant Hill" bolts.  OOOPS!  Now they're on shelves in the shop, safe and sound! Here goes:

"Feedsack" fabric by Sara Morgan

It only took eleven months......for some of our order from market to arrive.  It's o.k.  At least we have some if it!  These are by Sara Morgan from her "Feedsack" collection by Blue Hill Fabrics.

I love how vivid the colors are!
