The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity. We got a bunch of new stuff in the shop; our Fall Shop Hop was last weekend and Sweetness had a birthday!
"Maple Island" by Holly Taylor arrived this week. We have 12 bolted prints and all the pre-cuts (layer cakes, charm packs, jelly rolls and mini-charms) of this super yummy collection.
Two panels are included in this collection (one is on a green colorway, the other is on tan).
These prints arrived just in time for your next fall themed project! YIPPEE!!

We love Aurifil thread. It's the only thread I will ever use.
We received eight new thread sets last week but also have the individual spools of almost all the colors.

When we opened one of the boxes left by the big brown truck, I squealed like a little girl!
Inside were the strips sets, tiles and chips (jelly rolls, layer cakes and charm packs) of the new Stonehenge line called "Gradations" by Northcott. I almost fainted when I saw the colors of these pre-cuts.
We have three different colors from this collection: "Oxidized Copper", "Robin's Egg" and "Blue Planet"(one of the strip sets is back ordered but should arrive soon).
What will we make with these beauties? I think a tote bag or Pinwheel would be fabulous!

Got "Concrete"??? We do! Charm Packs and mini-charms that is!
Concrete is a new line just released by Moda. They aren't solids, they aren't marbles, they're concrete.
These have a lot of movement which will really add to any project.
The colors are muted so they won't compete with companion prints.

Calling all 1930's fans: I squealed a little more when we opened the next boxes: "Storybook Vacation" by Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics!
Oh, how cute these will be in the "Farm Girl Vintage" blocks.
Just in time for our "Farm Girl" club which starts next Saturday, the 10th.

I have one of these calendars on my desk at work. It's a perpetual calendar with a quilt block for each day.
Cutting instructions and fabric requirements are given for each block. There's even an index in the back for quick reference.
Buy it once, use it year after year! Gotta love it!

Alice P. brought in a tote she made using an "Aunties Two" pattern (the picture is on a different post).
We instantly fell in love with her tote and decided to check out the other patterns by this designer.

We love how simple their instructions are and most patterns include different sizes for each project.

OOPS! With all the preparation for the shop hop (and Sweetness' birthday party), I've failed to post "Show and Tell" pictures the past couple of weeks.
Vicki W. brought in this quilt she made using a pattern from the "Layers of Love" book by Kansas Troubles.
Vicki used all K.T. prints to make this fabulous quilt as a birthday present to herself!

Vickie B. brought in this top she recently made using "Lady Slipper Lodge" prints. When we saw it, I asked if we could keep it as a shop sample for a while.
What I didn't know is that Vicki designed this pattern herself. She calls it "Fractured Path". We love it!
If you'd like a copy of Vickie's pattern, we are now selling them in the shop for $7.00 each.

Cathy likes to hand embroider so, she shrunk down the "Farm Girl" patterns and converted them to embroidery.
As you can see, the completed project is not very big. I get a headache just thinking about how small this is.

Our Fall Shop Hop fell on Sweetness' birthday last Saturday. We didn't plan it that way, it just happened to be the same weekend.
Needless to say, he had a great day. "Thank You" to everyone who helped celebrate his big day.
