Quilts of Valor, Show and Tell, Modascapes, Giggles, Best Day Ever and Paisley Park!

Yesterday was our second all day sew-in for "Quilts of Valor".  Everyone brought their machines and sewed, sewed, sewed! It was a great day of fellowship.  

At the end of the day, we were exhausted but invigorated knowing a deserving solider would receive one of our quilts!  

"Thank You" to Vicki, Tanya, Vickie, Sharon, Lori, Pam, Cathy, Pat, Joann, Lynn, Penny, Roxann and Kay for helping us pay it forward.

Linda P. brought in this quilt she made.  It has quite an interesting story.  Linda has had a pen pal since 1965.  When her pen pal had her first child, a son, Linda made him a quilt....of a clown holding some balloons.  

A bunch of years later, her pen pal's son was recently blessed with his first child, also a son. 

Linda's pen pal asked if she would make her new grandson a quilt.....just like his dad's.....of a clown holding balloons.    

She did.  Here it is.  How cute is that?   

Gitta brought in the barjello quilt she's been working

on....using only batiks!  Wow!  

She said she'll add the borders and bring it back so we can see the finished project.  Love it!  

We were closed last Saturday for Labor Day but the UPS truck kept coming again and again!  

We received 22 new bolts of fabric, some new gizmos, precuts and the latest issue of "Block" magazine.
