"Show and Tell" Saturday, Reliable irons and other new stuff!

Lori V. brought her sister's (Penny) Quilt of Valor to the shop yesterday.  Penny has a long arm quilting machine so she quilted it and did the binding too! Great job, Penny! Thanks for helping impact the life of a soldier.

Jacquline S. and her granddaughter, Shea, stopped by yesterday.  Shea was shopping for mini charms and fabric to make a Midi bag as her first sewing project with Grandma!  What a great way to spend the day. Sewing with your grandmother!!!

While they were here, I took pictures of the Midi and Mondo bags Jacquline made and brought with them (the Mondo bag is made with batiks). These bags are so fun and so cute.

This morning, Jacquline emailed a picture of Shea's finished Midi bag.  Great job, Shea.  Great job, Grandma!

Judi M. and her son Ryan came in yesterday.  Judi was returning a Quilt of Valor she quilted for us and brought some goodies for "Show and Tell".

The purple afghan is her granddaughter's high school graduation present. She made the quilt from bags of scraps a friend gave her.  Wow!

Her son, Ryan received a gift certificate from the shop for Christmas and he was ready to spend it!  He couldn't decide if he wanted fat quarters, flannel fat quarters, charm packs or some Sock Monkey socks!

After A LOT of thought (and pacing back and forth) he decided on a Moda scrap bag and a mini-charm.

He gave me the biggest smile when I handed him his bag of goodies!  He's so excited to get started!

We received two models of Reliable irons this week. We have the V-50 and V-100 models in stock.  The V-200 is back-ordered but should be here soon!

We needed more options for people wanting to do Paper Piecing. We have different lengths of "Add A Quarter" rulers, lots of books and both sizes of foundation papers but didn't have any "Add An Eighth" or "Add Three Eights" rulers.  That is no longer the case!  They came in this week!

If you need knitting needles for Shawn's upcoming "Beginning Knitting" classes, we have a couple sizes in stock.  These are Clover knitting needles, size 8 and size 10.
