Happy Holidays from P-Dub and Sweetness

Just a quick reminder the shop will be open tomorrowChristmas Eve, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for any last minute shopping you (or your Mr. Claus) might need to get done before the big day.

Please don't forget the shop will be closed this Saturday, December 27th

I don't want to spill the beans but, we'll be making some changes in the new year AND.......we'll be adding a nifty new club in 2015.  I can't wait!

From the bottom of our hearts, "Happy Holidays" from the staff and faculty at P-Dub's (O.K., so, I'm the "staff" and Sweetness is the "faculty".......we just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas).

Happy Holidays to everyone!

new stuff; Santa Claus; Secret Sisters; Show and Tell

Yesterday was full of surprises!  We had a visit from Santa; Secret Sisters received gifts and we had some wonderful projects brought in for "Show and Tell".

The big brown truck was here several times this week.  We now have the latest issue of "Block" magazine; two new Moda Solids charm packs; three bolts of "Because of the Brave" prints by Moda; six new AccuQuilt dies; Steamfast travel irons and six different toweling prints.

Santa Claus stopped by the shop yesterday.  He's very busy this time of year but wanted to be sure to get everyone's Christmas list.

Not everyone wanted their picture taken after giving Santa their list but Sheila, Dorothy, Pat and Shawn didn't mind having their picture taken!

Thanks, Santa for taking time out of your busy schedule to listen to some last minute Christmas wishes.

The "Secret Sisters" have been very busy this holiday season.  Vickie was given embroidered hand towels, one for each day of the week, from her 'sister'.

How cute are these?

Nola's "sister" gave her an adorable Christmas Tree ornament (which she loved).

Sharon was also the recipient of "Secret Sister" gifts.
She received a huge coffee mug and lapel pin from her 'sister'.

Sharon loved the mug and immediately put on her "Christmas Angel" pin.

Ileene and Mitch came to the shop a couple of months ago looking for patriotic fabric for a quilt she was making.  They definitely came to the right place!

Ileene found some fabric she liked and as usual, I made her promise to bring back the finished quilt for "Show and Tell".

Little did we know we'd have a prize winning quilt in the shop yesterday.  Ileene's quilt, titled "Veteran Honor," won first place in the Madison County Fair.

Ileene used her embroidery machine to stitch out the designs from an Anita Goodesign CD and built her quilt around those blocks.

The quilter, Ann Olsen, used variegated thread making the back of this quilt as stunning as the front.

Thanks, Ileene and Mitch, for sharing this gorgeous quilt with us (we particularly love the curved corners).

We're thrilled we were able to help you find just the right fabrics for this gorgeous quilt.

Sharon brought in this tote bag she recently made as a Christmas gift.

She decided to use strips from a Moda Scrap Bag, placing them vertically for the body of the tote and smaller squares of the same fabrics for the front pocket.

How cute it this?

Great job, Sharon!  We love this tote.
