1930's Playtime is here, Becky's quilt, Kay's embroidery

Three very large boxes were waiting for me when I got home Friday.  What was inside was a little slice of heaven.....our order of "1930's Playtime" fabric on the bolt by Chloe's Closet for Moda. YIPPEEE!  The fat quarters are cut and the fabric is on the shelf!  Help yourself!

Becky brought in a quilt she made using the paper piecing method, her first time using this technique.   She's going to add a solid black inner border and piano keys as the outer border and get it quilted.  She did a great job.  The colors are so vibrant!

Kay decided to hand embroider the back of her batik log cabin quilt.  She brought it in for Show and Tell yesterday.  She's using variegated thread which really pops on the stencil backing.  When she's finished quilting it, the blue stencil is water soluble and will disappear when washed leaving the beautiful stitching. Wow!
