The Potting Shed; Prismacolor colored pencils, "Show and Tell"

I spun straight up, squealed like a little girl and was doing the happy dance when Sweetness opened a stack of boxes this week.

Inside was the much anticipated "Potting Shed" collection by Holly Taylor.  We now have 38 super yummy bolts (including both panels) and all the pre-cuts.  YIPPEEE!!!  I'm so excited.

I love the names of the colors from this collection: Phlox, Dark Moss, Sand, Top Soil, Antique White, Celery, Fern, Violet and Light Violet.  These sound more like flowers in a garden than fabric on the bolt!

I'm not happy with these pictures but, after moving everything around (more than once) to get better pictures, I finally gave up and put them on the floor.

Needless to say, these pictures do NOT do this collection justice.  These prints are much yummier in person.

Be warned:  more than half of this collection is already 'out of stock' at the warehouse and will not be re-printed.  If you see something you like, get it while you can.  When it's gone, it's gone.

I'm in love with Prismacolor colored pencils.  They're so much better than the cheapo waxy colored pencils I bought at a big box store.

This week we received the set of 48 colored pencils. With their arrival, we now have sets of 12, 24, 36 and now 48 to choose from.

I bought a set of 36 for myself and I doubt I'll ever use anything else for coloring.

My set of 36 is on the counter in the shop.  Feel free to check them out when you're here the next time.

Becky was an innocent bystander in the shop this week.  She had no idea she was in danger......of me stealing her purse.  She used Kansas Troubles prints for the 'Bow Tucks Tote' she made.  I was in love. It's so pretty.

Before anyone asks, I did not steal Becky's purse.

We love it when young 'ens come to the shop with "Show and Tell".

Ten year old Olivia (and mom Beth) stopped by yesterday for Olivia's next project.

Olivia brought several projects she'd made and wanted to share with us.

Olivia made a couple of placemats which she also quilted herself.

She also made a napkin which has mitered corners.

Olivia wanted to make her Aunt something so, she made this mug rug which has a pocket in the middle. How cute is this?

Olivia also brought her very first project:  a hot pad which she also quilted herself.

Thanks, Olivia for sharing your projects with us.  We can't wait to see your next creations!
