Today was the first day...........

Today was a wonderful day.  I know the weather outside is frightful but the fire was SO delightful.  Yes, that's right.....today was the very first day the temperature inside the shop was not equal to the temperature outside the shop.  Having a ceiling is a wonderful thing.  It actually keeps all the heat in. Imagine that!   Today was the first day we didn't get dressed like Eskimos before opening the shop (this is not meant to offend anyone of Eskimo origin).  We truly didn't wear our coats inside the shop..... not once.....all day.  Wow, this is the life!  

Melba stopped by and showed us a nifty trick on how to make your own binding.  Thanks, Melba for the tip.  I'll try to post pictures of how to do this. 

Pat brought in the quilt she designed and made for the Quilts of Valor foundation.  The quilt is just gorgeous.  She designed it the old fashioned way....with a pencil and a piece of paper and LOTS of math.  I'll try to post pics of it too.  

Sweetness and I have tomorrow to re-coop from this past week.  I go back to the j-o-b and he goes back to school on Monday. 

I'd better go see what Sweetness and the kids are doing.
